Bassnectar‘s new album Noise vs Beauty is shaping up to be his best work in quite some time. Last night he dropped the third track “You and Me”, and it certainly did not disappoint. This track is classic Lorin Ashton. It’s airy vocals, provided by W Darling, combined with its melodic Dubstep beat are a perfect compliment to the first two releases; the Summertime banger track “Now” and the instrumental track “Ephemeral”. “You and Me” has a similar ‘Nectar sound to that of “Breathless” ft. Mimi Paige” and the “Lights” remix. Bassnectar has previously stated on his website, www.Bassnectar.net, that this new album which drops June 24th is going to be a “combination of all of his favorite types of music,” which he has proven time and time again to redefine what we know as bass music.
