The Gold Gone Wild 2 Tour Lands in San Francisco This Friday (ft. A-Trak, AraabMuzik, and Ape Drums)

a-trak gold gone wild tour

Not much needs to be said about A-Trak, especially when you’re talking about his live show. The turntablist-turned-producer-but-still-sick-turntablist is currently on tour with his mates AraabMuzik and Ape Drums, landing here in the Bay Area Friday night June 19th. Dubbed the Gold Gone Wild 2 Tour, A-Trak, AraabMuzik, and Ape Drums will stomp down on San Francisco’s 1015 Folsom for a night of hyphy beats and jaw-dropping performances. This all comes, of course, just days after the Golden State Warriors’ NBA Championship so you know the city will be partying hard.

Writing an A-Trak show preview is a little funny to me, because if you don’t know why he’s one of the premier talents in all the DJing land you must be living under a rock. Having seen A-Trak perform live more times than I can count, and rocking a Fool’s Gold t-shirt many days in my life, every performance A-Trak puts on is unique and tons of fun. I’ve seen A-Trak as part of Duck Sauce at Coachella and Outside Lands, I’ve seen him perform solo on a Monday night in Boston to a crowd of maybe 50 people, I’ve seen him rock closing sets at Electric Zoo, and midday sets at Spring Awakening, and of course crossed paths with him more than a few times on Holy Ship. A-Trak makes sure to keep his sets fresh, including House, Hip-Hop, Trap, and everything in between seeing rotation to rock crowds.

Personally I’ve yet to see AraabMuzik nor Ape Drums live and I’m very excited for the chance to finally do that this Friday night. 1015 Folsom is a rowdy venue and I’m looking forward to raging with many smiling faces into the early morning, hoping some of the side rooms are also featuring music. If you haven’t gotten your ticket yet make sure to do that ASAP as I can see this one selling out. And if you haven’t heard the trio’s latest track listen below!
