Is it a coincidence two Jewish producers released free bootleg remixes a few days before Christmas? Actually, it probably is. But coincidence or not, these two tracks are certainly worth a share no matter what religion you practice. If you’re a DJ or if you have throwback nostalgia, then look no further because Mat Zo and Prince Fox have cooked up something special for you – separately (though I’d be excited to hear a collaboration between them).
First up is Mat Zo’s remix of the Smashing Pumpkins’ hit “Zero”. Talk about a throwback to the 90s – my childhood and rock music alike. I was just eight years old when the original “Zero” came out but you can bet your ass I was already rockin’ out to it when it hit airwaves. As many of my friends know, I was a fan of Rock before I knew what a House track sounded like and the Smashing Pumpkins were certainly in my cassette tape rotation. This remix certainly goes hard and while it’s not my favorite Mat Zo production, the quality is there and this one will certainly be a turn-up song at any festival or peak-hour show.
Next up is Prince Fox and his take on something a little more recent: DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win”. As most people know, Prince Fox has blown up in the past year, and today’s remix of “All I Do Is Win” is a great example of why. Prince Fox got creative and had guest vocals for this bootleg, thanks to MOONZz and Mako. In contrast to Mat Zo’s banger, this remix is a little more on the epic and emotional side, but certainly packs an artistic punch that we’ve become used to from Prince Fox.

By the way, Holy Ship 2016 – the fifth sailing – is under two weeks away. I just finished listening to Mat Zo’s main deck set and boy is it a doozie – relive the memory below!
