Buku Music + Art Project Setting the Bar for 2019

Hello MMIBTY Family!

Buku has really pulled up this year for the 2019 festival season. Coming out of the gates hot, BUKU has an incredible 1st release for their lineup which includes some nostalgic acts. Also, including a special project that hasn’t seen the light of touring for the past 5 years.

As one of New Orleans’ most thriving and long-lasting music festivals with a culture of its own, Buku Music + Art Project features live music, local art, world-renowned food vendors, and spectacular array of vibes and sights directly along the Mississippi! This special two-day festival will showcase some of the best talents the dance world has to offer. From Louis the Child and Ekali, to Dirtybird’s Claude VonStroke & Fisher as well as Skrillex and Boys Noize coming in with the legendary Dog Blood set, BUKU is setting the tone early for this years festival season. You can also espy some traditional bands Play Congas in the festival.

Additionally, the main headliners include Lana Del Rey, Excison, Kevin Gates and RL Grime. Not only will it cater to the dance and hip hop masses but it will also include an incredible rock ticket with some names such as Mayday Parade, Dashboard Confessional and the infamous Death Grips.
On top of all the incredible music acts, Buku offers an incredible Food & Art scene. There will be amazing displays of imaginative public art demonstrations to reflect the eclectic street culture of New Orleans.

Displays will include a live graffiti gallery and the projects of local artists, which create an interactive environment for any all festival goers alike. Buku also includes world-renowned, unique, multi-layered cuisine and will feature a wide variety of food choices for all tastes.
