In Case You Missed It: Nero – Me and You (Dirty South Remix)

Any reader of our site knows Our Name is MMIBTY And We’re Addicted to Nero. I’ve had the privilege of seeing them live on several occasions and I’m pumped to get yet another opportunity to see them next week in Boston. Whenever I hear the song “Me and You”, I instantly flash back to Electric Zoo 2011, when Arty dropped it in the middle of his set (which was mostly Trance and Progressive), only to transition into Diplo & Tiesto’s “C’Mon.” A truly unique couple of songs mixed together. Since then “Me and You” has been on special rotation with me.

Dirty South’s remix comes as a bit of a surprise to me, knowing his style usually hangs around House music and doesn’t often go outside that realm. This remix was formerly thought to be one by Steve Angello, but it came as an official release under Chase & Status’ MTA Records last month (yup, we missed it – our apologies). Today, however, when I was reviewing some older Tiesto podcasts, I listened with curiosity as I heard the familiar opening chords going along to a 128-130bpm beat. This awesome remix doesn’t stray far from the original, but it instead turns it into a more Electro-House masterpiece. Enjoy!
