Wow, that’s the most normal looking picture of Arty I’ve ever seen! While the 22 year old Russian producer and DJ won’t be the next model for Calvin Klein, he has certainly made his case for being a very versatile producer with his latest track. Released as part of a DJ Mag promotion, “The Slide” is unlike anything I’ve ever heard from the kid and certainly doesn’t fit his upbeat trance and progressive style. This track is rather a dark and haunting piece, starting with a melancholy piano intro that opens into a driving bassline that sounds like the soundtrack to the most badass scene in a very badass movie. He said he made it for his own personal enjoyment. Well, fuck am I enjoying it as well.
