Well there is definitely no shortage of absolutely amazing live music events here in Denver this weekend. Holy Underground, Megafauna, Early Bird //Night Owl, Imbibe and The IndiCard are thrilled to present the first Holy Underground Block Party this friday at 27th and Larimer streets in Denver’s RiNo district. Working together with the folks over at Final Friday the Holy Underground Block Party will feature everything from live art to street vendors and delicious food trucks. With four different stages and an extremely diverse line-up of local musicians there will definitely be a little something for everyone to enjoy. Larimer Lounge, Cold Crush, Our Mutual Friends Malt & Brew, and Laundry on Lawrence’s Outdoor Stage will all be taking part in this great event to help send Holy Underground artists to the CMJ Music Marathon in NYC mid-october. In its 33rd year, the CMJ Music Marathon has become the nation’s most important platforms for discovering new music. Every fall, CMJ invades New York City with over 1,300 artist performances, filling more than 80 of the city’s greatest venues, nightclubs and theaters.
A $10 wristband gives attendees access to all Holy Underground Block Party activities, music, discounts at participating businesses, drink specials at all venues and of course an awesome afternoon of live music. The block party will run until about midnight at which point the MMIBTY team will be headed over to NORAD to catch house gods Dusky and Cassian doing their thing. It is truly a blessing to be able to catch both of these international powerhouses under the same roof and is sure to be quite a show.
